Life. Gets. Crazy.
For a while now, I’ve been saying I need to get back to doing a better job of posting on my blog and keeping my personal website up to date. I made idea lists, goals, and reminders. Every time I thought I’d get back to it, something crazy would happen, and I would set it aside. There are plenty of things out there more important than a personal blog after all. I think things are finally settling back down so I can finally get back to sharing with everyone again!
My reason to share
When I joined ConstructConnect, there was a good deal of talk around a “personal brand” and what it meant. At first glance, I didn’t think anything of it. But after a lot of thought and reflection, there IS a reason to have a personal brand. I think that it’s important to have one.
For me, my personal brand is that I promise to deliver an intelligent, planned out solution for each and every challenge presented to me. I believe that this is by far the most important aspect of being an IT professional. It doesn’t matter who you are working with or for. An IT professional should always try to deliver the best results possible.
I’d like to say that I’m going to post on a regular, consistent basis. I would also like to be a millionaire and only work whenever I want. Realistically, I will say that I’m going post new content more often again. Will it be every week? Probably not. But it will be more than once every couple months. I look forward to sharing all my experiences.
